Travel documents for Palestinian
Applying for a New Travel Document at the Consulate General of Lebanon
Please note the following instructions:

The applicant must submit the application and collect the travel document in person upon issuance.

According to the General Directorate of General Security, manual renewal of Lebanese travel documents for Palestinian refugees is now limited to the electronic version only.

The applicant may choose between diplomatic pouch delivery or DHL Fast Track service for the issuance of the new document (please refer to the processing time below).
- Fees must be paid in cash.
- For Minors (under 18 years old):

Both parents must be present, or one parent must present a notarized power of attorney from the other.

In cases of divorce or death, the legal guardian must present a valid tutelage document issued in Lebanon.

Either parent may collect the travel document after issuance.

The Processing Time for issuing a new travel document is as follows:
- Diplomatic Pouch:
1. Processing time: 6 to 8 weeks
2. Status follow-up: Applicants can check the status of their application on the Consulate’s website to confirm that the travel document has arrived before coming to collect it.
3. Required upon collection: Current travel document and the receipt issued at the time of application.
- DHL Fast Track Service
1. Processing time: 3 to 4 weeks
2. How to apply: Visit http://fasttracklb.dhl.com, pay the additional fee of $143.03 online, and submit the 11-page DHL document along with the travel document application at the Consulate.
3. Status follow-up: The applicant may collect the new travel document one day after receiving a confirmation email from DHL, bringing the current travel document and the original receipt.

- UNRWA Registration Card (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) + 2 copies.
- 2 recent passport-sized photos, white background, size 3.5 × 4.3 cm

- For minors* : Presence of both parents is mandatory, or a notarized power of attorney must be provided .

Note – Renewal of Palestinian Travel Documents:
Electronic Travel Documents of the "2016" type (brown cover) can be exceptionally renewed manually for a period of 2 years. However, it is mandatory to obtain a new biometric travel document from the Directorate General of General Security in Lebanon in accordance with the applicable procedures.
Required Documents: The documents mentioned above.
Fees: 450 AED in cash.
Processing Time: One working day only.
In case of loss of a Lebanese Travel Document for Palestinians a Palestinian refugee may apply for a new Lebanese travel document
Required documents
- Application form. (completed online and printed, or filled manually at the Consulate)

Original police report with 1 copy.
- Written statement from the applicant explaining how the document was lost, or from a custodian if the applicant is a minor*.
- 2 copies of the lost travel document, if available
- Palestinian Refugee ID Card or an Individual Civil Extract (issued within the last three years), with 2 copies of either document.
- UNRWA Registration Card (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East)
- 2 recent passport photos with white background size 3.5 × 4.3 cm.

In Case of a Damaged Lebanese Travel Document for Palestinians, a Palestinian can apply for a new travel document.
Required documents
- Application form. (completed online and printed, or filled manually at the Consulate )
- Damaged travel document, if available (to be sent with the application to Lebanon), along with 2 copies.
- Written statement by the applicant explaining how the travel document was damaged, or from the custodian if the applicant is a minor* .
- Palestinian refugee ID card, or a copy of an individual extract not dated more than three years ago.

Parents may apply for a Laissez-passer for newborns under the age of 2 months.

- Official birth certificate of the newborn.
- Copies of both parents’ passports or travel documents.
- 2 recent passport-sized photos (size 4.3 × 3.5 cm, on a white background, and not copied from previous images).
